We look forward to the Fender Road Show every year; they fly in a few of their top guys from the Custom Shop Team (who we have a blast hanging out with and just can't say enough positive things about), and send us a Masterbuilder to talk guitar building and answers every question we throw at them. On top of that, they roll out a very special group of Limited Edition instruments built exclusively for this event.This Roadshow instrument is a Custom Telecaster Thinline with a white blonde finish that has gone through Fender's Closet Classic treatment. The treatment gives the guitar some finish checking and surface swirling throughout the body. The semi-hollow body design of 1968's Telecaster Thinline guitar was originally an attempt to reduce the weight of ash-body Telecasters. With its f hole and reshaped pickguard, it was a truly distinctive take on Fender's first great instrument. The Classic Series '69 Telecaster Thinline brings it all back, with features including a lightweight semi-hollow mahogany body with f hole, U-shaped maple neck with 7.25"-radius maple freeboard, vintage-style single-coil Telecaster pickups and vintage-style bridge and tuners.

This familiar semi-hollow design is showcased on a rich natural finish mahogany body with f-hole and an attractive white pearloid pickguard. The gloss maple neck sports 21 medium-jumbo frets and a modern 9.5" radius. Other features include vintage-style tuners and a three-saddle bridge. A custom set of alnico V single-coil pickups provides warmth and clarity, and enough punch for country, blues, rock and jazz.

1969; a year of peace, love, and awesome Strats. This is a recreation of the '69 Stratocaster in a nicely relic'd black finish, featuring an alder body, '69 U shape maple neck, a period-correct headstock shape, three '69 Stratocaster single coil pickups and Schaller tuners with the engraved Fender F. The neck shape has a nice fat feeling to it, and the three single coil pickups pump out classic Strat tone.
