The PX4 standard configuration includes a mahogany, swamp ash, or alder body. The neck is either mahogany or maple, while the fingerboard is made from rosewood or maple. It uses 6105 fretwire and has 21 frets. The bass is done in an early 60’s C shape with aged nickel hardware to give it a great relic look. It features Hipshot tuners and bridge. The PX4 is then done in a distressed nitrocellulose lacquer to give it a nice, aged look.

When it comes to options, there are many. The body and/or neck can be made from korina, and the fingerboard can be out of Brazilian rosewood. You can opt to add fingerboard binding and aged gold hardware instead of the nickel. Custom pain colors and pickguard color are also available. All in all, the Fano Alt de Facto PX4 is a great relic guitar that can be customized to your look and feel, allowing you to create a bass that is like no other.

Fano is a fairly popular brand of relic guitar, because they make some really high quality instruments. One of their Alt de Facto line, the JM6 shares much of the high quality and attention to detail that other Alt de Facto instruments have. However, it does have a few extra options and extras that set it apart from the others.

The Alt de Facto JM6 features three body choices: alder, swamp ash, or mahogany. All have front and back contours and use aged nickel hardware. The neck comes in either maple or mahogany, while the fingerboard is done in rosewood or maple. The guitar uses 21 frets and 6105 fretwire. The tuners are Gotoh Kluson, and it has a TonePros T-O-M stoptail. The guitar has a 3-way toggle, volume, and tonestyler controls. All of this is wrapped up in a distressed nitrocellulose lacquer finish that really makes the guitar look old.

As with all Fano products, you’ve got some other options. For example, you can get the JM6 with a Korina body or neck if you choose, or go with aged gold hardware. Custom paint colors are also available, as is a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. You can discuss all of your options with a Fano dealer before you make your final purchase.

Like all of Fano’s Alt de Facto series of relic guitars, the PX6 harkens back to some of those classic guitars made during the middle of the 20th century. They use many of the traditional styles, parts, and are all distressed to look just like they’ve been around for decades. Of course, they also feature some modern guitar parts and concepts like a compound radius fingerboard and Gotoh hardware. Each Fano guitar is individually handcrafted, so even if someone else has the same model as you do, the two guitars will be slightly different. Every Fano PX6 is unique.

The PX6 features several different body options, including korina, alder, swamp ash, and mahogany. You also get to select from korina, maple, or mahogany for the neck. The fingerboard can be done in rosewood, maple, or Brazilian rosewood. The guitar features 22 frets and uses 6105 fretwire. The back shape is done in a late 50’s round style. The relic guitar features aged nickel hardware, Gotoh Kluson tuners, and custom Fralin P-90s. It has a three-way toggle, volume, and tone controls. The entire guitar is done in a distressed nitrocellulose lacquier to make it appear aged and worn. You can actually pick your own custom pain colors if you order one of the PX6’s from Fano, plus there are some other options such as aged gold hardware and Lollar firebird pickups for you to select from.

The Fano Alt De Fact Satellite is one of the newer relic guitar models by Fano Guitars. It’s a throwback to one of the older Fano models that was built in 1995. While it’s not one of the oldest models ever, Dennis Fano’s Alt De Fact Satellite model is sure to appeal to those who love Fenders and Gibsons. The original Satellite was designed to give Les Paul and Telecaster players a different kind of guitar that combines the best of these two types of instruments. Today, the guitar could be seen as something of an alternative to the Fano SP6 or the TC6. In fact, the Satellite has many of the same specs as a SP6, and the very first of the new Satellites to roll off the line even used the SP6 logo!

The Fano Alt De Fact Satellite features a swamp ash body with a full maple neck. The fretboard is made from rosewood and features 22 6105 frets. The neck is done in a late 50s C shape, giving it even more of a vintage look. This is further developed by the vintage 3 saddle T bridge. The relic guitar features a three way tone switch, volume and tone control knobs, and a black bakelite pickguard. It also has custom Fralin pickups—a P-90 for the neck and then a standard T bridge pickup.

The Fano Alt de Facto RB6 is one of Fano’s great Alt de Facto line. This series is one that really shows off Fano’s dedication to creating amazing looking relic guitars. A classic German instrument, the RB6 is one incredibly smooth guitar and plays like nothing else. Its body is done in an alder, swamp ash, or a mahogany, and it features a great German carved top. The neck comes in mahogany or maple, and the fingerboard is available in rosewood or maple. The entire guitar is then done in a distressed nitrocellulose lacquer that adds to the relic look, making it look like the instrument has been played for years when really it’s brand new.

The Alt de Facto RB6 relic guitar also features 22 frets, has a 6105 fretwire, and comes in the late 50s C shape. The aged nickel hardware and the worn plastic parts add to its great relic look. You also have a few other options for the guitar. You can add a korina body or neck, a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, aged gold hardware instead of nickel, Lollar pickups, and if you don’t like any of the standard colors, you can have a custom paint job done. All of these options mean a higher price, of course, but it’s well worth it if you want to have the relic guitar of your dreams.

The Alt de Facto series really typifies Fano's overall approach From the worn nickel hardware and aged lacquer finish to features such as the classic German etched RB6 top, the feel is 100% vintage.

Utilizing first class wood like swamp ash adler and mahogany, these models also incorporate the best modern advancements such as features that include hardware made by Gotoh and Tonepros as well as custom hand-wound Lindy Fralin pickups. Fano guitars are 100% handcrafted.
