Fender’s Limited Collection series would not be complete without the Limited 1964 Telecaster relic guitar.  limited-1964-telecaster-relic-guitarThis limited edition guitar is highly detailed and customized, and it’s also very collectable as well.  There are only 150 in existence: 50 of them in black, 50 of them in a chocolate three-color sunburst, and 50 done in aged vintage white.  Once all 150 of these relic guitars are in the hands of players or collectors, that’s all of them that will ever be built.

So what does the limited 1964 Telecaster relic guitar bring to the party?  Well, it features a premium ash body with a neck made in a C shape out of maple.  The fingerboard is created out of dark Indian rosewood, and it has a 9.5 inch radius.  The ’64 Telecaster features 21 Dunlop 6105 narrow jumbo frets, a custom shop twisted Tele single-coil pickup on the neck, and a custom shop broadcaster single-coil pickup for the bridge.  You’ll find a master tone and master volume control on the instrument.  The pickup switching consists of three positions: bridge, neck with tone control, and neck with no tone control.  Naturally, the guitar is finished in Fender’s relic finish that makes it appear to have been used for decades—the finish is scratches, there are a number of nicks, and the hardware is slightly rusty.  This relic guitar also features a limited edition decal on the back of the headstock.
