The LTD Master Design 1955 Telecaster may not have quite escaped the shadow of the 1954 Stratocaster, but it is still a popular Fender guitar, especially among collectors.  The guitar was used by a number of professionals, including Steve Howe, the guitarist for the British progressive rock group Yes.  The LTD Master Design Telecaster 1955 relic has been recreated by Fender to look exactly like the originals, and it features everything this guitar featured when it was first produced in 1955.  It even looks like it was built back then due to the special aging process the company applies to each Telecaster.

The 1955 Telecaster comes in a nitrocellulose lacquer white blonde finish and features two custom NoCaster Vintage Tele single-coil pickups, just like the original.  The neck is made out of one piece of maple, features 21 vintage style frets, and is made in a unique “U” shape that makes the guitar easily identifiable as a Telecaster.  Other unique features of the 1955 Telecaster include flat dome Tele knobs.  If you purchase this relic directly from Fender, you will also receive a lacquered tweed Fender Pro Junior amp which, like the guitar, has been artificially aged with scratches, nicks, and aged plastic to look like it has had years of wear and tear.  The LTD Master Design 1955 Telecaster may not have been one of the most famous guitars, but it certainly appeals to players and collectors, and you’ll get a great sound out of it and the amp.
