While it comes to Stratocaster Relic guitars, no one makes them like Wildwood Guitars.  The company has created some of the most exclusive and most collectible relic guitars around.  Their Wildwood “10s” series, which was created in collaboration with Fender, is one of their most popular.  The collection recreates Wildwood “10s” guitars from several different years, each of which is hand-built at the Fender Custom Shop.  the-ltd-dealer-select-wildwood-10s-1959-stratocaster-relicThe LTD Dealer Select Wildwood “10s” 1959 Stratocaster Relic is no exception.  These guitars are built to exacting specifications, and they are as close as you’ll get to owning a Stratocaster like those played by Bill Carson, one of the guitarists who was involved in the design of the guitar.  Carson’s original 1959 fiesta red Stratocaster was auctioned by Christie’s Auction House for $66,000.

The LTD dealer select Wildwood “10s” 1959 Strat features fretboards made from Brazilian rosewood.  This wood is lightweight and is hand-selected by Fender.  The finish, which is available in various colors, uses a thin layer of nitrocellulose and is available in NOS, relic, or heavy relic.  You’ll also find custom-voiced pickups, a custom neck shape that can be made with quartersawn maple, straing-grain maple, or AA flame maple.  These necks feature a ten inch radius with 6105 frets.  Both custom and master-built versions of the 1959 Stratocaster are available.
