Malden Liquid

The Malden Liquid relic guitar is a great offset-bodied instrument that features a bolt-neck and looks somewhat like a very plain Fender Jazzmaster.  However, it also brings in some Firebird features, such as the two P-90 pickups and the pickup selector that is located forward.  malden-liquidThe instrument features a body made out of several different types of wood, including Alder and Basswood.  The neck is made from maple rosewood and features 21 tall and narrow frets.  The chrome hardware looks amazing on these instruments.  The Malden Liquid comes in three polyurethane finishes: ivory, black, and a three-tone finish that look stunning.  This finish is combined with a some incredible pickguards, covers, and knobs.  The ivory guitar, for example, is done almost all in white, while the black features white highlights.  The fretboard features faux-clay position dots that, while not quite the same color as the standard 1960s dots, still give the instrument a great relic look to it.

The Malden Liquid features very tight-fitting joints and is constructed using only top-quality parts.  It’s very well built, and it will stand up to a lot of abuse.  Malden is known for their high quality instruments, and the Liquid is absolutely no exception.  It may look like a relic instrument from the past, but it’s constructed like one of today’s top guitars.
