The Reverend Warhawk II HB is Reverend’s take on what they believe a classic double-cutaway relic guitar should be. They’ve done a lot to make this instrument both a thing of beauty and a great sounding guitar. It’s got a very full, thick body, and they were certain to connect the neck to the body using the correct amount and type of wood. You’ll find that the bridge pickup allows for some very hot playing, and it outdoes any vintage soapbar you might find. The neck pickup is also pretty clean. Overall, the Reverend Warhawk II HB gives you all the rawness and bite that you’d expect from the guitar, but it’s got a lot of versatility to it. Plus, the shored up neck joint gives you a lot of stability, but the guitar isn’t neck heavy like you might expect.
The body of the Reverend Warhawk II HB is made out of solid korina and features a raised center area. The neck is also made from one piece of korina and has a tilt-back headstock. The guitar features two Reverend humbuckers for pickups and has a rosewood fingerboard with a twelve inch radius. It uses 22 medium jumbo frets and Reverend pin-lock tuners. It features a custom volume and tone controls, bass countour controls, and three way switching.
