The Vinetto Guitars Deuce is a solid-body guitar that makes use of the Deuce Blender Control to create variable tone combinations. The Deuce is what you’d get if you took a tele and added a tele pickup on the bridge and a Lollar mini-humbucker in the neck.
The Deuce’s body is made from one of four different woods. You can select alder, white mahogany, Honduran mahogany, or swamp ash. It’s a strong through body. The neck is done in a soft V shape that tapers to a C. It uses 22 frets and has a fretboard from either rosewood or maple. The standard pickup is a Lollar vintage T bridge and Lollar mini-humbucker neck, although DiMarzio pickups are available. Read more
The AXL Badwater Semi-Hollowbody relic guitar gives the appearance of a guitar constructed many years ago. The Semi-Hollowbody features a maple top and back which has been distressed so that it looks ancient. The neck is also made from maple in a C-shape, and it’s set on. One interesting fact about the Semi-Hollowbody is that its neck is incredibly thin—it’s almost like a strat neck, in fact. It features a rosewood fretboard. The guitar has a dot inlay and a anodized Tune-o-Matic bridge. It uses two Alnico humbuckers. A three way selector switch, volume, and tone controls are included. Read more
The James Trussart Steelmaster, like many of the James Trussart guitars, has that unique steel look and feel while using many of the most modern construction techniques. The Steelmaster also features the recessed steel top plate, something unique to Trussart instruments. This plate can be found in a recessed section of the face of the guitar. The edges of the plate are covered, which makes it feel more comfortable as well as adding to its unique look.
Another exclusive to James Trussart is the chambered wood body and metal appointments. These help add mass to the headstock and increase the Steelmaster’s sustain. The steel used in the guitar has several different tonal advantages, helping create a classic sound that ranges from thick clean tones to heavy overdriven ones. In addition to affecting the sound, the steel also makes the Steelmaster look amazing. The distressed finish that makes it look like the guitar both vintage and totally unique. Read more

Nash Guitars has a number of different guitar lines, including the T, the S, and the E. The Nash E guitars have some things in common with the others, especially with the E12 models. For example, most of them feature alder or ash bodies in one, two, or three piece construction (although Nash rarely uses three piece construction). The necks are done in a medium C or boat style and are generally made from maple and often feature a rosewood fingerboard. Fingerboards have a 10 inch radius.
What makes the E guitar stand out from the rest? The body is shaped a bit differently. While some, such as the S and JB models, have some flare to them and are designed to be eye-catching, the E is a little more understated. This doesn’t mean it won’t get noticed, though, especially once you start playing it. The E uses different types of pickguards. The E-57 model, for example, uses a single ply guard while the E-63 uses a three ply guard. Nash E Guitars come in a wide array of colors, including seafoam green, three tone burst, Dakota red, shell pink, and more.

The Grosh Guitars TurboJet model is visually based on the ElectraJet, but while the TurboJet and ElectraJet may share some of the same lines and body shape, the TurboJet is all rock. It features a mahogany body and uses either a flame maple or a 5A quilt top. This helps the guitar deliver those amazingly thick, complex, and rich tones that it is known for. Every TurboJet body is made from master grade old growth mahogany, and each is genuine. The tops are made from AAAAA figured wood as well, and this combination creates firm lows and harmonically rich highs. The body’s shape also helps create tighter lows and puts more of a punch in the mids. This creates an openness that is simply unmatched by any other guitar with a mahogany/maple combination.
When this body combination is enhanced by the new Grosh humbucking pickups, the TubroJet becomes one very rocking guitar. The TurboJet also features a five way switch, which means that a player can get just about any tone from the instrument. Its very innovative design mixed with the classic style that all Grosh guitars feature creates a guitar that is natural, balanced, and sounds great.

The Danelectro 56-U1 is a great guitar that Danelectro produced to imitate the single pickup sound that was very popular during the 50s and 60s. The 56-U1 was also created with the beginner in mind. While all serious, professional players usually go for a 56-U2, the 56-U1 is a cheaper model that everyone can afford. However, just because it’s cheaper doesn’t mean that it’s of a lesser quality. It uses the same angled Listick pickup that produces incredible single-coil tone. This single pickup is very warm and the relic’s concentric volume/tone control is very sensitive—even the most subtle adjustment is picked up.
The Danelectro 56-U1 features the same great hollow body that the 56-U2 uses, and it also features much of the same type of hardware and style. The guitar comes in a variety of finishes, all of which look great. Typically, a 56-U1 retails for around $250.
Danelectro has created the Danelectro 59-DC ‘O’ Psychedelic guitar based upon one of Eric Clapton’s go-to guitars. The 59-DC ‘O’, like the other Danelectro guitars, features their simplistic design. The guitar sounds more like a Stratocaster than anything else, so you won’t find incredibly fat tones here. That’s OK, though, because you will find tones that sound totally retro. The 59-DC ‘O’ also has something of an old sound, giving it a very unique, different kind of tone than you might get from another instrument.
The Danelectro 59-DC ‘O’ Psychedelic guitar features a masonite semi-hollow body with a plywood frame. The neck is made from maple and is bolted on. It has a rosewood fingerboard with a 14 inch radius, an aluminum nut, and 19 medium frets. The guitar uses vintage Kluson-style tuners and has a hard-tail bridge with rosewood saddle. It has volume and tone controls plus a three-way selector switch. There are a number of different options you can select for your 59-DC ‘O’. The unpainted version is a bit less vintage but is cheaper, while the fully decked out guitar is upwards of 399 pounds. As far as the finish goes, each Danelectro 59-DC ‘O’ Psychedelic is hand painted in various psychedelic colors and patterns, so you’ll have a unique instrument that looks just as crazy as it sounds.
Eastwood Guitars has made a number of different models over the years. One of their great old fashioned relic guitars is the Eastwood GP. This guitar is certainly a classic. It features a mahogany body with a set neck made out of mahogany as well. The fingerboard is done in rosewood with block markers. Its scale length is 24 and 3/4 inches, and the guitar is 1 11/16th inches wide at the nut. It also features dual super-2 humbuckers and Gotoh nickel and chrome hardware.
The Eastwood GP has three way switching and two volume and two tone controls. The bridge is a five-way adjustable wrap-around. One of the unique features of the Eastwood GP is the contoured maple top. The guitar comes in three finishes: black, cherryburst, and LH black. Eastwood retails the Eastwood GP for $899, which isn’t a bad price for a guitar of this caliber.
Looking for a great custom relic guitar? Then check out Rock N’ Roll Relics! Billy, the owner, hand-builds every relic guitar he sells. He uses bodies that are locally hand cut, then adds in reissued Fender hardware and gives the guitar an amazing nitro finish. The end result is a high-quality guitar that looks like it’s been around for years! While he does create some relics to sell at local guitar shops, he will also hand-build a guitar to your specifications. He will find the pickups, neck, and more that you want.
Billy has been playing rock and roll for more than 25 years, so he knows what players want. He was actually part of Jetboy, a rock band formed in 1983. Although the band broke up for some time, they have recently re-formed and are working on a new album. He also worked as a guitar tech for Chris Isaak during the late 90s. It was during this time that he started buying and selling vintage guitars. Eventually, he decided to build his own instead of simply restoring damaged relics.
Recently, Billy has been building a large number of relics to meet growing customer demand and to keep dealers stocked with instruments. He has built two guitars for James Hetfield of Metallica: a Les Paul re-fin and a 52 b-bender Tele reissue. He’s also done two custom builds and a refin for Stevie D. of Buckcherry. Country star Keith Urban hand picked one of Billy’s Jazzbastards from one of the dealers who stocks Rock N’ Roll Relics instruments.
Many of Billy’s relic guitars can be found on the Rock N’ Roll Relics website, which is currently undergoing a re-design so that it will be viewable on iPhones and iPads. If you’re interested in ordering one of his fine instruments, check it out at www.rocknrollrelics.net.
