The Manta Ray 390 Limited Edition 2011 is similar to Reverend’s other Manta Ray models, but it has several features that aren’t standard. Reverend did a limited run of this instrument in 2011, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. This guitar has a lot of acoustic richness to it, with the sweet and complex overtones that only a semi-hollow can provide. This versatile instrument is perfect for a number of different styles of music, including blues, rock, and jazz. Read more
Reverend is known for working with artists to create guitars for their signature line. A new addition to this line is the Unknown Hinson Signature relic guitar. Unknown Hinson calls himself the King of Country Western Troubadours, but he’s more than just that. He has a sound all his own, an interesting twist of goth and country. It’s really very different, and it’s something only a guitar built to Hinson’s specifications could even hope to reproduce. It can be used for just about anything, including country, rock, and classics. Read more
Reverend has created many different signature relic guitars, but one of their top sellers is the Reverend Reeves Gabrels Signature relic. This guitar was designed with help from Reeves Gabrels himself, the guitarist who has worked with Tin Machine and David Bowie. This guitar does everything that Reeves expected from an instrument, and it’s capable of covering styles from rock to blues to full on shredding.
One of the best things about the Gabrels Singature is its power. Reeves demanded a guitar that could provide both the power he needed and the clarity of sound he wanted, and Reverend met his demands and more. They did this by removing the cover from a Reverend bridge humbucker, giving the guitar more output and better treble response. Then they added a Dimarzio Fast Track 1 pickup to the neck, providing single-coil like definition while delivering more mids and absolutely no hum at all. Read more
Ron Asheton played with a number of recognized names in the music industry, including Iggy Pop.
However, this guitar legend had never sat down and created a guitar until he teamed up with Reverend to create the Reverend Ron Asheton Signature Model. This unique instrument is based on the Reverend Volcano model, but it has been modified according to Asheton’s specifications. It now has a body made from solid korina with a raised center area. The fingerboard is made out of rosewood and has a twelve inch radius, while the neck is glued on and is made from one piece of korina. The guitar also has three Reverend P90 pickups that give it a fat tone while still sounding somewhat raw. It also gives the model a nice, percussive attack. Read more
