Part of the 2011 Limited Edition Custom Shop guitars, this is an Esquire with a heavy relic desert sand finish and gold hardware. Despite the fact that it's only a single pickup guitar, the Esquire is a very versatile instrument once you learn how to use the volume and tone controls in very subtle ways. The guitar has a great looking flamed 1-piece maple neck, and the relic work makes the Esquire look like it's stopped into every dive bar it ever passed by. A part of the wear we dig is the area on the back where the paint has been worn down to the primer but not yet the bare wood. An excellent limited edition instrument with exceptional looks and tone.

We look forward to the Fender Road Show every year; they fly in a few of their top guys from the Custom Shop Team (who we have a blast hanging out with and just can't say enough positive things about), and send us a Masterbuilder to talk guitar building and answers every question we throw at them. From a small batch run here at The Music Zoo. The Bass VI gives you the lower bass register in a comfortable guitar-like setup. The specs of the Bass VI are dead on, so we gave it a custom color and an aged finish to kick it up a notch. This bass has a great vibe and perfect playability right out of the case.

A faithful tribute to the famous battle-scarred fretless Jazz Bass that Jaco Pastorius was known for wielding on stage throughout his career. With cooperation from Jaco's bass tech, Fender copied all the cosmetic nuances of the original instrument to make this great replica. With its heavily worn and torn finish, epoxy-coated laminate fretboard, and knurled P-Bass knobs, the bass has the same look and feel as the original. Story aside, this is a wonderful playing instrument that has an excellent vibe to it, and the lack of lacquer on the neck makes it a smooth player as well.

To celebrate 35 years of proving the low-end for the rhythm section of one of the worlds most successful rock bands, U2, the Fender Custom Shop has released this extremely limited Adam Clayton P-Bass. Only 60 pieces have been built, and they're loaded with features to make this one of a kind instrument not only a looker, but a player as well. With its eye-catching gold sparkle finish and matching headstock, and abalone block inlays, loaded with an Abigal Ybarra handwound P-Bass pickup as well as a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Clayton himself, this is a must for any serious P-Bass or U2 collector.

For this awesome '59 Precision Bass, we took a few of our favorite P-Bass characteristics and put them all into one instrument to create this bad-ass looking bass. This '59 P-Bass is built with a 2-tone sunburst finish on an ash body, with a 1-ply black pickguard to match the black edge of the burst nicely. The single '62 P-Bass pickup pumps out that classic Fender thump, and we gave the headstock a '70's style Fender decal for some added vibe.

Jeff Beck...Eric Clapton...The Who...Simon and Garfunkel, just a few of the musicians that world-renowned session bassist Pino Palladino has laid down grooves for throughout his career. To celebrate the bassist and his skill and achievements, the Fender Custom Shop has released this P-Bass made exactly to Palladino's specifications, including a select alder body, rosewood fretboard with vintage style frets, a custom-wound P-Bass pickup, and 4-ply tortoise shell pickguard.
